Arizona Association of Mortgage Brokers
Pre-Licensing Education
Thank you for considering the Arizona Association of Mortgage Brokers (AAMB) to be your pre-licensing education provider.
AAMB is the only choice in education that also promotes the cause of mortgage brokers in Arizona, and in Washington, DC through the National Association of Mortgage Brokers (NAMB). By taking your courses from AAMB, you're also supporting an Arizona-based organization with approved instructors, most of whom are also mortgage originators and understand the business from a practitioner's perspective.
AAMB's 20-hour course package meets the requirements of both the Secure and Fair Enforcement for Mortgage Licensing Act of 2008 (SAFE Act) and the Arizona Department of Financial Institutions (AzDFI) for pre-licensing education. These courses also satisfy the 12-hour requirement for RIs.
The SAFE Act breaks down the course of study and required units as follows:
3 hours of Federal law and regulations
3 hours of ethics, this shall include instruction on fraud, consumer protection, and fair lending issues
2 hours of training related to lending standards for the non-traditional mortgage product marketplace
12 hours of undefined instruction on mortgage origination.
We will be continually updating this website with information to help you with your education needs, as well as with information about licensing requirements (testing, bond, fingerprinting, etc.). Come back and visit us soon.
